So much work, so worth it..

So much work, so worth it..
So I finally got around to giving my old beast some very, very much needed love. I've owned her a couple years now and have been putting much of this off for too long.
What I just did this last weekend:
-Injector O-rings
-Valve cover gaskets
-Fixed leaking exhaust (broken stud at exhaust manifold)
-Replaced leaking fuel pump, had a lake in the valley forever now (whoops)
-All new OEM fuel lines and seals
-Rebuilt fuel bowl
-Removed, inspected and cleaned up the turbo
-Installed 6 position chip
-Oil change of course!
-Installed new stereo
I may have done more, can't quite remember. What a weekend! And what results, too! Amazing not to hear that pesky exhaust leak, or smell leaking diesel, the chip really woke it up too. And what really made me happy is the cold start smoking is gone, this thing sounds brand new! I've only encountered one issue, when slamming on the throttle, it'll get up and go then I start to hear a weird high pitched "whirring" kind of sound. It almost sounds like the turbo isn't getting enough air. It has the K&N on there and I've never read anything good about that, so that will be going away soon.
So next in line is going to be:
-Wheel bearings all around
-Rear diff fluid change
-Ball joints
-Transmission fluid filter and change
-Straight pipe exhaust
-6637
-Misc. aesthetic upgrades (New bumpers, headlights, headache rack etc.)
If you've stuck around for that whole read and have any other suggestions of what I should be looking out for/doing for the old truck, please, let me know! I'm trying to recondition everything as the miles keep creeping on up. Thanks in advance!
