I recently had my '95 Explorer Limited Ed. hooked up to a machine at the local auto parts store and it came up with a code #632 trans control switch? What does that mean and what do I need to do?
My code manual says 632 is 'Overdrive Cancel Switch/no action during engine run self test'. When you are running the test, you need to engage/dis-engage the OD button. If the person running the test didn't do that, it will give a 632 error.
Thanks for your reply....
My OD on/off is not working...it stays in the "off" position plus my speedometer is acting crazy and it goes into gear hard...it overworks itself so I had to drive it in second gear for it not to do that
Sounds like your transmission(assuming you have an automatic) may be in 'cripple' mode which is not good for it. Have you tried unhooking the battery for at least 5 minutes to clear the codes? This may help.
