I bought the side 1.1/4" moulding it's still in the shipping tube. I pulled it out and checked it over the anodizing looks kind of light coating. Plus not real shinny like oem stuff was. I got the compete full set front to rear. It's ok tho.
I've not had time to install the new moulding yet as, I need to drill all the clip holes an install them. But first have fill or get welded up the old moulding holes from the wide 3.5/8' one's removed. My truck, I had to do a bed swap and found a ranger bed with the tool side box . So in 1980, I added new oem moulding to the cab to match the bed.
So now switching it to a sports Custom 1.1/4" moulding,
It's to bad these reproductions parts aren't polished better before anodizing.
They don't have the bright shine like oem stuff it.
I just return to DC hood lip center piece as it was a half inch to long and very dull with poor looking anodizing done on it.
Has anyone purchased replacement trim from a vendor (Dennis Carpenter, NPD, etc.)?
Was the quality close to the original?
I will be needing to replace about half the pieces on my Ranger.
Thanks,
Trever
I bought all the side trim pc's, on the bump and at the bottom and wheel lip openings on my truck from Dennis Carpenter several years ago, there weren't perfect, but neither was the originals from the factory. They looked good then and they still do now. You don't have much of a choice where to get this trim. You can find some of it on E-Bay, But I have never seen a complete set on there that is NOS. If you don't buy the Complete side set, I promise you it will not match the 40+ Year old trim you have now. Good luck with your truck.
Thank you for all your help guys. I see that per the norm DC and NPD are the trusted vendors.
TPDANIELS: I didn't really think about it until you brought it up. It is probably smart to replace all side trim moldings in lieu of just the ones that need to be replaced, to ensure the appearance matches.

2x you can't mix old pc's with new moulding pc's for it to look good.
I think DC it really the only supplier since they have the oem tooling.

LMC trucks had all the trim. Its not cheap, but nice stuff. I know because I just looked it up. I was given a 69 f250 ranger camper special as a project. All the trim is mint and I wanted to see what its worth since I have the complete set original to the truck. They have it all, markers and lights too. I was amazed at the cost though. Thinking of selling this thing now since it was free!!!
Parting it out can bring in some good cash. But it takes time to milk out every buck from it. plus having a vehicle slowly getting stripped sitting in your yard or around your yard is the pits & ugly sight for all.

If you look at the top of the page, you see vendors who are sponsors of this site. LMC is not one of them. LMC gets a lot of "plugs" from people who buy parts from them. Same people come here and say that LMC has the parts they need. This is true, but, the vendors who sponsor this site should be the ones we go to first. Just saying.

Well, never saw the vendors, and the OP said he couldn't find them, so guess the vendors don't have them??? So I offered an option were I found them. I've never bought there, just researched some parts I was curious about. Just helping the guy out.

And just saying, the top of my page has a ford advertisement and that's it. If theres vendors up there you better make them bigger because I just spent a few minutes looking, and theres no vendors on my page. Just ford. Ok, just found it, vendor directory. Il look there before I pass advice next time, just to keep you happy. I'm sure the OP looked already though.
