Hey guys, I'm doing a dually conversion on my 2000 F-350. I have found a donor truck for the swap, but it's a 1998 E350 ambulance.. I know this was a weird year for ford trucks, so I'm curious to know if it's built off a superduty chassis? Or an OBS. It has the first gen powerstroke. I need to know before I make the trip up to pick it up. Any I for would be appreciated. Thanks
it may work, but you will have to carry two spares because the vans stayed with the older 8X6.5 wheel bolt pattern.
pickups switched to 8X170 bolt pattern for the introduction of the 99 superduty trucks.
Is the frame off an Ambulance a Cab and Chassis frame or pickup truck frame? That is important to know because of the axle widths, and spring mounts. Don't know if the years matter, but I do know that cab and chassis and pickup frames and axles are not the same. Cab and chassis frames and axles are narrower. And, yes, they actually made a single wheel cab and chassis which I learned about a few months ago. Would've never though that,,,,,
