I would like some opinions on lowering by suspension on my F100, I seen some I beams that were made for this but i don;t know where to find them but I also heard you can use a front off of a 80's LTD or somethig like that with rack and pinion steering and disc brakes. I was wondering if someone has done this and how much it involves. I'm just getting started on this truck so i have a lot of questions. Thanks in advance.
DJM and AIM makes lowering I-beams. Most that use lowering beams seem to prefer DJM.
For a front suspension swap from another Ford vehicle, the popular front suspension swap is from the 2003-2011 Crown Victoria. 2003-up Mercury Grand Marquis, Mercury Maruader or Lincoln Town Car also all use the very same front suspension as the '03-'11 Crown Victoria.
If you do a google search and type "FTE" in the search bar you will get loads of info from this site on just about any common Ford truck question. I find the answer to most of my bumpside questions that way.
