Adding DOCs, PPTs to a post???

Adding DOCs, PPTs to a post???
When I open a NEW Post I have a have the paper clip to add a documnet to the post. BUT if I try to PM or Reply I only have the image add? What's up with that? EDIT Gotta go to GO ADVANCED to do it on a reply but still not on a PM
