New Member needs Information

I have a 2000 F-350 , crew cab, long bed 7.3L 4X4 with about 160,000 miles on it. It's on a 6" lift kit. I bought it used about 10 years ago and it's my favorite vehicle ever.

I've recently encountered an issue and I have to deal with it in short order so I'm hoping that someone on here can provide me the information I need, and to say in advance how much I appreciate the help.

I have 16" chrome wheels on it which came with the truck. Seems that the chrome is corroding and the wheels are leaking. I need to buy new wheels. I have no idea what the offset or backspace is or how to decide that.

Can anyone help?

If they're 16's they're probably stock right? Just get you a set off eBay for cheap

I don't think the wheels are stock. Like I said they were on it it when I got it and so was the lift kit which leads me to think that the wheels aren't stock wheels. I'm looking at some nice replacement wheels. I don't ever plan to sell this truck.

+6mm offset is stock on a 2000. What size tires do you run and do you want to stick with 16" wheels?

You have a 6" lift with those tires? If you like them to stick out a little bit then you could go with a 16x8 with a -6 or -12mm offset. 16x10 wheels would work too but if you have no intentions of going with bigger tires I would go with the 16x8.
Something like this :
Mickey Thompson - Classic III, 16X8 with 8 on 170 Bolt Pattern - Polished | 4WheelParts.com

I just ordered 17x8's in a similar wheel for the same size tires you have, I run 285/70/17's.

I had bigger, "mudder" tires on it at one time but the mileage was horrible and I got stuck onetime anyway when I really needed it so the trade off between mileage and the rare occurrence of having to go through deep mud I opted for mileage. Had I known that I would have to replace the wheels a month ago I would have bought different tires but I'm into them for $500 so...

Thanks for he advice I'll take a look at the link.
