Tubular engine crossmember
Has anyone used a bolt in tubular engine crossmember if so any proublems I was going to remount my 351w and use one. Any welding required . Go to use on 1951 F1 . Thanks

I don't know if this is much help but........
My '50 came with one to mount the 289 in it
the guy I got it from said that the tube still needs to be welded or bolted to the brakets on the frame (it looks like it slides a little to center the engine)
mine isn't welded or bolted yet and I can see where it has shifted a little to one side already
the frame mounts appears to be bolted to the frame rail ( I don't know if any drilling was required)
