Everyone's favorite charging prob
85 f150 I-6
Having a terrible time getting it to charge. I have new ALT and voltage regulator. I cannot figure out how to wire it up. There were no wires to start with (bought it out of a field) and I can get it to run when the batteries charged but when I take off the pos cable it dies instantly. Remember I got a new ALT, which leads me to believe I have the wires to the voltage regulator mixed around. When the truck is running, if I hit the brakes the voltmeter drops from above 12 to 10 then back up, and any acc. makes it drop quick as well.
Any help is appreciated.
