Takeing my truck in Saturday to have a 4in turbo back diamond eye exhaust put on. But while it's in there I thought about maybe having a wicked wheel put on. What are the pros and cons of this? Would it benefit my otherwise stock truck aside from the exhaust?
Thats what we have, check spturboost.com i bought the billet spx wheel, and there is a noticible increase in power and egt reduction of almost 200° go to the super duty 7.3 diesel section and go to the "Spx, riffraff, barder, and other wheel review thread"
I just installed the ts 6 chip yesterday, I've left it on 50 hp and the throttle response is a night and day difference along with a little more power. My truck is a manual. Unless you're running bigger injectors I've been told that anything after the 50 hp setting you can't tell that much of a difference.
I just ordered the riff raff wheel. not the WW. , i am going to do the delete but is it better to just order the exhaust housing too? will both items the wheel and the housing be too much for the stock setup? I don't have a IC yet?
I think the ww2 and riffraff are essentially the same thing I don't have an intercooler yet either I have a 1.0 housing 3 inch downpipe and Wicked Wheel 2 it does good I think you'd be happy with the 1.0 housing
NOOOOOOOOOOO! I don't want to look. Every corner I see something and pull it off for a new part! I'm OCD!
Lol well you can get the bellowed up pipes and not have to worry again but if your stock pipes are leaking it really reduces the ability to make good boost
Before i replaced mine when the torque converter locked in third it fell on its face took a while to build boost again it's a world of difference now
I will look. I didn't see any area that looked like it was leaking but who knows. with the turbo out are they easy to replace? Or replace the donuts? Im not to excited to dump a 900 into riffraff pipes that likely cost 200 to make.
Yeah with the turbo off you should be able to replace the donuts easily or the pipes I think I got mine from diesel site for around 3-400 can't remember exactly I hear you tho it's expensive but the way I look at it is I shouldn't have to touch them again

They aren't fun but can be done in a day with the turbo out. I think you are looking at the International pipes. Riffraff Diesel's are only about $490 and way nicer than Internationals or any other I have seen.
