Fuel Sending Unit - Random Thought

Would a gas sending unit read accurately on the diesel cluster, I assume so.

Also, would a gas version hold up to diesel/biodiesel?

I have a heated fuel pickup so I'm not worried about fuel delivery/pickup, just fuel level reading.

Thanks,
Myles

I put a diesel cluster in my (formerly) gas powered Ex and it reads fine.

The sender still seems to be working fine after a few months of being submerged in diesel after spending the previous 14 years in gas.
