In response to using 24" blades, I tried that once, and noticed that when I got into snow, or sleet they didn't seem to work as well probably because they are longer hence spreading the force across a longer surface if that makes scene. If you drive in warmer climates it shouldn't matter then.
I ordered a pair of RainX Latitudes from Advance Auto for store pickup. The coupon code (TJG13) from retailmenot.com said $10 off any purchase over $30. I input the code for the order and it said OK.
When I paid via PayPal, no discount applied. I contacted Advance via chat help and they said that because the wipers were on sale, the code wasn't valid. No problem. I politely asked them to cancel the order. So they gave me the discount anyway as a "one time" deal. So instead of $18.99 each I got them both for $27.98.
Appropriate thread timing for me
I have the all season Ford blade on my '11 which have been on the truck for just over 2 years. Yeah, it doesn't get driven every day and is garaged so they have lasted - lasted longer then any that I have ever had on any vehicle. My wife's '12 Fusion seems to 'eat' after market blades as I've put ANCO, Trico, Bosch and now Michelin's - and they have all been crap. I'm not going to replace the Fusion's blades - the entire car is due for that exercise but the truck - that will get some new Motorcraft blades within the next couple weeks - either these, Motorcraft WW-2242 All Season Wiper Blade or these, their WW-2201P, neither seemingly inexpensive at purchase but if they last 2X or more longer, actually cheaper.
Edit:
Just ordered the 2242's from Rock Auto - just recalled that I had a tire rebate card that paid for them. Saved about $4 vs Amazon
I used the Rain-X Latitudes in last year's "winter from hell" and for a $35 set of wipers, I was disappointed with their results in snow. I found that ice would still adhere to the sides of the blades and they'd stiffen so they wouldn't fully follow the windshield contour, resulting in all sorts of streaks. (I'm **** and hate a streaky windshield).
Went to local truck stop and bought the "old school" Anco Winter Blades with the rubber shroud around the metal wiper hardware for $7.95 each. They worked the best. I didn't have to be so careful cleaning off snow, because the wipers could "plow" it off the windshield - while with the lower profile Rain-X wipers, the snow would flow over the tops of the wipers.

Put the Rain-X blades back on in the Spring.
I can't find these anymore. They always worked great.
"Winter Blades" my dad called them.
I just put on a set of the Napa premiums a month or so back. First time I've used them. So far, I'm happy with them, but a month isn't much time. Even the cheapies should still be holding up by now.
They seem to clean road spray off the glass pretty well, and don't scrub (or chatter). We'll see how well they hold up I guess.

I put a set of NAPA Vista on my daily driver 2003 Cadillac. Over $20 each, but I found that isn't all that rare in the wiper blade world anymore.
I wound up getting the RainX Latitude 24 inch and put them on my SD yesterday. As mentioned in my other post, they were on sale and Advantage Auto honored a coupon code that they really didn't have to, so I got the pair for $30. Otherwise, the sale price would have been $40 and regular price would have been $48.
Along the same lines as Ginther's video post, every now & then when I think of it I'll wipe the blades down with an alcohol pad. I probably should do it more often.
