Evening guys, I'll try to make this short... I'm supposed to head down to Baltimore in the morning to take classes for the week, a 10hr drive from Maine. I went to fill up the truck 10 minutes ago and noticed diesel dripping rapidly down the back of the block. I drove home; about 5 minutes and popped the hood, looked down in the V with a light and my California emissions "spaceship" (pulse damper) has ruptured; fuel is spraying out from its seam.. Whats the quickest repair I can do?????? Can I remove it w the turbo on and plug it? Whats the protocol? Brad? Do I have options? I can PM someone my number to talk about it.. I have a full service shop at my disposal if I need it...
Im at the shop now.. Anyone know the size of that hex on the bottom of the pulse damper? 1-1/16"? Any confirmation if it will unscrew w the turbo still attached!?
Thanks... So am I to say the least... I get payed to go take classes I would have missed a full week of pay, good money... After I used a long sharpened screw driver to chisel turn it loose It went like butter...
