1996 F250XL 2WD...My truck is bone stock, and other than normal wear and tear from daily driving, it has no issues other than a goofy PSOM, and that's soon to be corrected. HOWEVER!, after reading several of the threads on this blog, I've made a Jekyll to Hyde transformation, and "the list" has begun. Progress will be slow due to available fundage, but none the less I've already established an account with RiffRaff, and am presently expecting a yellow taped box anyday now, and my wife is already giving me "THE LOOK"!

haha, I always, try too anyway, intercept the UPS man and then take the packages to the garage before my wife sees them. This can't be done all the time but sure helps cut down on the number of packages she sees. My dog doesn't help either, she will bark when the UPS guy shows up, grrr. Also, he likes to BS about diesel trucks so its always, 'who were you talking too?' when I get back into the house. LOL

The biggest thing is a goal where you want to be at or accomplish. For instance I wanted to be able to easily pull my lil 6000lb travel trailer. I then doubled what was needed and went full r***rd ...
For what it's worth I would say exh, intake, efuel, hpop ,hydra ,gauges,as a foundation for any big power upgrades. They will add some pep in the step now but depending on your ultimate goal they will make the most of future mods. Git-er-dun

I've started out light with a 6637 filter install coming up as soon as the yellow taped box appears, then I need to get the PSOM repaired so the cruise is back in working order. I've also noticed a little play in the steering wheel, and have identified the culprit, so an upper steering column bearing kit is about to be ordered if I can find one cheap enough, if not it'll wait till after the PSOM. I spent time yesterday watching YouTube videos of a guy named Mark Fugazzatto. He sure makes efuel look easy enough, so I'd imagine at some point in the near future I'll get rid of the stock "leakmaster 6000" filter assembly and pursue efuel. Of course this is all going to "require" that I enhance my gauge cluster setup to accommodate the things "I NEED" to monitor, and I'm sure a down pipe will follow, and why do a down pipe if you aren't going to go ahead and remove the cat and muffler.....and on.....and on....AAAHHHHHHH!!!!!....I have a fever, and the only prescription is more mods!

I know the look all to well. I have two trucks that I drive, and six more for parts. Have two more projects hitting the property soon, and my wife says in a sarcastic tone......"Oh how nice......we have our own little junk yard"
My defense is "Fine, I'll sell it all, use the money for a down payment on a new $70,000 Powerstroke, and we can make $800 a month payments on it, and I'll end up modding it anyway!" LOL!!!
In all seriousness though, she is OK with my addiction to these trucks. She knows how much I enjoy these old trucks.
