I'm trying to find a part number for the wiring harness that sits on top of the motor and plugs into the valve cover gaskets. The previous owner replaced the pigtails but the wires were cut so far back that there is virtually nothing left coming out of the harness. I have no idea what the actual harness looks like other than it has the 9 pin plug on it or whether both sides require an individual harness. If anyone has a part number or picture if said harness it would be most helpful.
Dealer parts guy wasn't paying attention to what I was saying....he pulls the harness out and it's the under-cover harness to the injectors and glow plugs. Still striking out.

If it's UVCH, that's GREAT news! Cheap and easy to do
yes it is but I'm growing extremely tired of having to plug this ....... thing.... in all the time to get it to start. As soon as I can find a garage to work in so I can feel my fingers and such, I'm going to unwrap everything and see what I have. If that harness solves my electrical issues then it would be money well spent.

UVCH connects to your glow plugs as well. If you are having to plug it in to start, then likely you need Under Valve Cover Harness AND Glowplugs.
GPs are about $80/set of 8. Use only OEM as some have had problems with the tips swelling or breaking and...bad stuff.
Make sure you are running fuel additive for the cold, too. Which one are you using?
