Hey I am completely new to this stuff and I dont know what everything really is. I have a 01 F150 Lariat Extended cab and I would like to put a system into it. Currently it has a stock 6 disk stereo system with 6 speaker premium sound. I dont know how that stacks up but I know I would like a pair of subs and a amp to make it louder. My computer is slow on this site so if anyone could contact me on my aim screenname BigBrent701 I would greatly appreciate any help. I dont want to waste money on things I dont need I want to have the facts str8 before I spend the extra money
give this site a good reading and then re-read it, it'll give u a good understanding of things and explain common misconceptions and so called "mysteries" http://eatel.net/~amptech/elecdisc/caraudio.htm
also what is ur budget for this project? we can give u a better set up if we know how much $$ u wanna spend...
My budget for the project will be around 1,000 I will not be installing this myself but I want to know what all im going to need to get.
I looked in the center console of my truck where the multi changer is. Im not sure how I could even remove it.
Another issue is speaker/sub/amp location. I would like 2 more speakers not where where I would put them. I would like to put 2-3 subs under the back seat bench. I saw sites with boxes for under there. I I would prefer the amp to go down there also or under the passenger seat if thats possible but I know about the heating problems amps have. My computer is very slow on the internet again I would appreciate it if anyone could instand message me on AIM BigBRent701. Thanks for your help.
Ps: I tryed to read the site but it is just a little bit too complicated for me...
Ps2: I am willing to use ebay as an option of buying the stuff.
