Engine Check Light on
I have a 1992 Ford F150 302 4x4. The engine check light keeps coming on. Engine is running fine, all the fluids are full. Any idea why this is happening?

i had the same prob with a 89 f250 4X4. i put it on a scan tool and no codes came up. first, disconect both battery cables for 15 min to clear the computer. then re connect and start. let the truck idle for 15 min, then go for a drive, going through all the gears. if the problem returns, go to the ford dealer and buy new gas caps. the gascaps have a diaphagm in them set to a certian psi for the fuel injection, and if th caps are bad, the pressure in the tank will drop and the engine light wil come on. caps sold at pep boys arent set to the proper psi
