Hey guys I found this website that shows all the info for ford axles I thought it would be cool to share with y'all and maybe even get it stickied so everyone can use it and figure out what they have. Cheers!
Is the "10 " on the bottom row right next to the hole that the cover bolt goes through? If so, I'd be willing to bet that means it's a 4.10 axle. I've seen a couple where the tag was likely broken off at the hole when the diff was serviced, then a new hole poked in the tag in order to reinstall it. The new hole obliterates the first character or two on the tag. So I'm thinking your tag originally had "4 10..." or "4L10", which would be 4.10 open diff or 4.10 limited, respectively.
[QUOTE=Pappawheely;16034724]I have a unique tag off a 97 cab and chassis; can someone help with this:
top row: S F6TS - BA
bottom row: 10 10.2 7J25[/QUOTE
Through my research I have discovered:
Top row: the s would stand for sterling
Bottom row: missing the 4 but it woul be 4.10 gear ratio 10.2 would be gear ring size and the rest would be date
That's my result, no promises on accuracy. Found this info on powerstroke nation forum hope it helps
