2016 Build/Delivery timing

Hey all-

Just to let you know my experience in regards to ordering and wait time for delivery:

I ordered right after the first of the year - Crystal was kind enough to track my order and update me periodically (thank you, Crystal) - and my truck arrived at my dealer the night before last (1/29)! When my sales guy called, I wasn't even ready for it yet - I said "we'll have to do it next Saturday." (I don't want to take time off work during the week to take delivery)

I went and looked at it today (SWEEET!) But now I have to wait a week to go get it

Anyway - just so you know - they are crankin' em out...

Congrats on your new truck! I'm jealous!

Just curious Crystal, I ordered my truck 4 weeks earlier (Dec 5), and mine isn't scheduled to be delivered until next week. Why would there be a 5 week discrepancy between our two trucks in terms of order fulfillment?

Good morning, 406!

Lots of factors contribute to how long an ordered vehicle will take to be produced and delivered to the dealership. Some factors include the dealership's allocation and your priority number; also, shipping time will vary depending on your distance from the plant. If you have additional questions, you can always reach out to your sales rep; I know they'd be happy to help out.

Hi Crystal! I'm new to the site but have been reading it for a while. I'm a ford truck junkie and drive an older 07 KR that is like a friend.

I have been planning on keeping my 07 and getting a new truck ever since I saw the 'atlas' come out as the future of the truck. Just love the front of these trucks. I have since ordered a new platinum. I ordered it around Jan 20th, and was told by dealer that it was built on Feb 11 and 12. I also have a VIN. I have trips planned for work etc., and was wondering if I could get a better timeline on when it might hit my dealer. Just curious if I can plan on it for the trips.

I know that you have 'bigger fish to fry' in responding to folks needs with their trucks etc. but if you have a chance can you check on it? If you can, what do you need from me, the VIN? Thanks ahead of time.

And, to everyone else, I have enjoyed reading all of your posts on your trucks and especially the photos. It is really great to be connected on something that lots of folks enjoy in life.

Welcome to the site, Highpoint7; congrats on taking the plunge! Yes, all I'll need is the VIN. Since you're a new member, you probably don't have the ability to PM yet. If that's the case, send your VIN to custserv@ford.com. We do not regularly monitor this email address, so please put my name ("Crystal") in the subject line and post here once you've sent it. That's how I'll know to go and hunt down your email.

Thanks Crystal! My trips are the week before that date so here's hoping they are early on the estimate.

One last question: Where was it built? Dearborn or Kansas City?
