Overhead Compass and Temperature Quit Working...Again!
My overhead compass and temperature quit working again. The first fix (I posted on this topic) lasted 6 years. All solder joints look good. This time the readout faded from working to barely readable to not visible at all. The book shows this to be controlled by relay/fuse #2 at the inside fuse compartment near E-brake pedal, which also controls the PCM module! Can I assume that since everything else electronic is in normal working order that the problem is not this fuse? Thanks in advance.
Might be that the display itself finally gave up, or perhaps more likely something in the driver circuit. Confirm if the console is receiving power or not. If it is, then the problem is internally and it may have to be repaired or replaced.
Hi there - My compass and temp display, its two lights, and all courtesy lights are out. Does anyone know of a fuse that can cause this? I checked the fuses on the left side of the steering wheel, could not find one that was bad. Not sure where else to look.
Thanks in advance for the help.
