Well I was looking some model kits up on google and stumbled upon this 85-86 truck. I was wondering if anyone has made a long box bullnose model or knows the guy who made this truck. Any info would be cool. I think the model kits are the coolest!
Wow. That is beautiful!! the detail is excellent. It even has the "chrome" trim around the rear window, along with correct mirrors, bumpers and hubcaps!
I looked long and hard for a long box bull nose like this about 10-11 years ago and the closest I got was buying two different models one an '81 "big foot" stepside and the other a '93 Styleside of the same scale, then just worked the two together. The Stepside I'm pretty sure is still available at Hobby Lobby. Saw one here in town just 2 days ago.

Where did you find that at? I never seen a '80-'86 flareside model truck. If I could find one I know what my purchase right now would be.
Ah ok I was doing searches for F150. I see its a Ranger. Hmmm could kit bash, buy a 80-86 kit use the frame from the Ranger and use the later cab to kitbash a early '80s F150 flareside.
Might need to check Revell because they have been re-releasing their older models on updated molds.
Am I the only one who noticed it has a 87-91 dash in it?
Looks like someone at model company dropped the ball.
Look at the assembly instructions for the '80 Ranger Flareside. They have the drawings showing the steps go on the rear side of the fender below the tail lights.

Look at his completed model though, the dash (from the angle he took the picture) looks like an 87-91 dash. I realize the manual says different, but the finished product looks pretty close to not our year.
