I am new to the diesel world sort of, and I am wondering what sort of things I should be listening for or looking for to determine if my stroke is having some problems. I check my oil regularly and have not noticed any significant changes there, but I have noticed some trouble at take off. It seems like it is taking forever to go when I mash the throttle, almost like my buddies 7.3l does to build boost. should I be concerned about this or is this normal? I do have 295 BFG AT tires maybe that slows the take off some. any input or advice is appreciated
To date, I have been very please with the power and mileage. I have not experienced any problems with my 6.0. I have had three 7.3s in the past. I am pleased with all of them. Starting from a stop seems to be similar, but once rolling, my 6.0 is superior.
I have read several folks who have posted issues and I feel for them. Many are serious problems. I have read of issues with the fuel injectors, turbos, turbo hoses, rear main leaking, rough/romping idle, and defective air conditioning. Again, I have yet to experience any of these problems and really enjoy my truck.
