I recently installed a zone 4 inch lift and pocket style flares to my truck. It's a 2002 with the 5.4 and 6 speed. Then I went out and got some used rims and tires. The tires are 315/75/16 and the rims ,I believe, are 16x10 m/t offset unknown.
My dilemma now is the rim/tires setup doesn't fit the vehicle to my liking. On top of the tires rubbing my leaf spring in the front, they look sucked in and undersized.
I'm wanting bigger tires (37"/38"), and more offset so the tires are flush with the flares. I'm finding it hard to find that big of an all terrain tire for a 16" rim at a reasonable price.
So here's where I need some opinions, keeping in mind budget, saftey, ect. Do I,
Get wheel spacers and new tires for the rims I already have?
Get all new rims and tires?
Thanks for your input in advance
Could we get some more pictures of the truck? i think it looks really good but id like to see more! i just bought my 4 inch rough country lift kit with some 35x12.50r18s, i just need some rims and im good to go on installing the lift kit. personally i would say if you want to go with bigger tires like a 37", get an 18" rim size on it and pick up some 18x9's or 18x10' with 4.5 backspacing and -12mm offset, i think thats the best look tbh and you shouldnt get rubbing at all for a 35x12.5 tire but im not sure about bigger and what offset.

i have had spacers on 3 SD's. never had a problem with any of them. but they are expensive
if u can recover most of the money you spent on your current set up and get a set that fit how u like you'll be better off than using spacers

I agree. I'd rather not use spacers but at the same time I dont want to spend thousands of dollars on custom offset rims and tires
If you already want new tires, a set of 17" wheels won't cost much different than a set of spacers. Plus, you can have 17's which have good size options. Then maybe you could sell your existing setup and recoup some cash.
