This is an Ali Arc Bumper. What do you guys/ladies think? I'm waiting on a price. I want to get a stainless steel or chrome bumper. Any other suggestions?
No comments on the style, to each his own
For the deer killing stoutness of the bumper, can you give us more details ?
Specifically what material and how thick ? If you have any pics of the back side showing the support structure it would be helpful for guessing at the structural integrity.
Expect damage to your headlights, grill, etc. if you hit a deer Apoc, good looking off-road oriented bumper but doesn't extend up to protect stuff up top in the case of a deer attack.
I would not call it a deer killer BUT does provide fair protection. It's clam to fame is light weight & no rust. Here's what it looks like 5+ years later.
You have to work to keep your tow hooks & once you have them on they are useless. That's why I had to mount the 3/4" shackles & they barely fit.

Both the Herd and Ali are made of aluminum with steel plates in certain areas.
Nothing against black. It just would not go well with my truck with the chrome accents it as and the 18 inch high polished SVT wheels.
That was/is another choice I looked at. Believe it is around $2800 on sale.
Certainly a heap of money but if you live in a critter infested area and want the protection then $2800 seems right, fabricated steel bumpers are easily $2000 -$2500

I don't think the pickup truck ones use any Steel on them. I did some reading last night and the semi trucks models use a steel bracket-hinge system to attach them. No need for a hinge on the pickup models since the hood doesn't tilt forward to open.
