So this morning I go out to warm up my truck before going to work and low and behold it won't start. So I check my scangauge and my icp level is at about 90 when cranking the engine over. So when the sun cam out I went out and did an air test on the hpo system, I have a leak on the drivers side. So I remove the oil rail and the stand pipe o ring is shot( I just replaced this standpipe about 2 months ago) . So I go to the store and get a new standpipe and put it all back together (also replaced and injector) I air test the system again and it is still leaking alot. So I have a new standpipe, dummy plug less then 1 year old and all new injectors, should I be looking at my ball tubes and o ring at this point or is there something else it could be? Thanks for the help folks
Have you eliminated the oil rail/ nipple cups as the source. I would think your injector orings would be ok since you said you had new injectors unless one got pinched when putting the oil rail on. Other than that, HPOP comes to mind. I may have missed your year model. Can you tell if the leak is still on the driver side with air?
When I asked if I should be looking at the ball tubes I guess I should have called them the nipple cup. I orded new nipple cups and o rings/ball tubes. If I still have a leak after that what else could it be hpop? The air is from the drivers side its a 2006 f250
It's possible but the HPOPs on the 05+ were upgraded and don't fail very often. If you're positive it's on the drivers side, it also leads me to believe it's either a nipple cup or injector oring. The HPOP is at the very rear of the valley, slightly behind and under the turbo. The injector orings are often pinched If the oil rail isn't put back on correctly. It can be easy to mess up. When you put the oil rail back on the injectors the nipple cups have to be seated basically all at once, straight in. If they go in at an angle, it's common for the cup to mess up the orings in the top of the injector. Just make sure they're oiled up good.
Hey Tim we actually have the nipple cups and orings we just dont supply the top injector seals (yet). We do recommend the alliant injector orings for now.

I wasn't very clear on that. I should have mentioned I got the socket and the orings in the kit from you. Thanks!
So I replaced the nipple cups and o rings this morning and put the rail back in and I still hear air leaking form the rail. What else could I be looking at? I have new nipple cups and o rings, dummy plug about one year old new stand pipe and new injectors all of which are 1.5 years old or less.
Is your rail full of oil? If it's not, you will likely hear air because it takes that initial burst of full on oil to seat things. I have read countless other threads on this very issue and saw it first hand myself after doing similar repairs on the drivers side.
How bad is the leak? Like just a faint hiss? or is it like the quick coupler didn't seat after you took the air chuck off?
Somebody had this same issue a few weeks ago on this forum, slapped it back together and it runs like a champ.
Looking at your first post, you said it only got to 90 on the ICP? That is almost non existent on this engine........that is like a carotid artery laceration leak, huge. Is your STC good? Did you pull the IPR to inspect?
So I put it back together got it to startand let it run for about 30min came back out turned it off and went to restart it and it would start but ittook longer than normal. So I re air tested it and it was still leaking so I took the valve cover back off and air tested again and it does not sound like my rail at all now. It sounds like its coming from down in the engine block towards the rear. The leak starts out sounding like a hiss then turns to a gurgling hissing sound. I guess I will be re checking the ipr. Any other ideas.
