Pinging behind Cab
I have a 2001 F-150 and have the most annoying pinging sound coming from between the cab and the box. It almost sounds like rocks hitting it but the truck does not need tobe moving, it just needs to be turned on. Any ideas??

Hi Wayne and welcome to FTE 
I had a truck make a noise like that once and it was a problem inside the muffler. It seemed that as the metal expanded and contracted it would make the ping sound. I wonder if you can lay under the truck while it makes the noise and narrow it down.
