Ok, im doing research on power programers for the 99 f350 psd manual. Ive found that predator and the superchip are some big ones. The Predator has these ratings:
40 HP / 110 ft/lbs torque (tow tune)
60 HP / 145 ft/lbs torque (economy performance tune)
85 HP / 190 ft/lbs torque (high performance tune)
stock tune + user adjustments http://www.motorhaven.com/customer/home.php?cat=38
with a price tag of 419.
and the superchip has these ratings:
70 hp/150 ft/lb torque tow mode
90 hp/175 ft/lb torque all around hi-perf and towing less than 6000 pounds
110 hp/200 ft/lb torque hi-performance (no towing) http://www.motorhaven.com/customer/home.php?cat=166
with a price tag of 299.
Isnt it obvious which one to get? the one with more hp improvements and is more then 100 cheaper? Correct me if im wrong. Thanks.

The Predator also offers real-time diagnostics and the ability to download/install future programs and updates. I have also heard that their algorithms are better.
Plus the Predator can be reset without sending it back to Superchips if you get a rare, but dreaded no-program condition that leaves your truck in a non-starting condition. Both are great products, each meets different needs. The Predator is a product that is purchased with the future in mind.
Can Ford mechanics working my PSD know if I ever had the Predator hooked up... ? Lets say I Set it back to the default setting and took my truck into the dealership for a service..
How will thay know??
The Predator, just like the Microtuner, restores the truck to stock programming. Clear the codes and it leaves no indication of a performance tune (there is a program count on some computers but it doesn't tell them what it was programmed with nor who did it).
