Ignition switch broken

I just picked up a 95' F150 yesterday. Whenever I open the drivers side door it makes a buzzing sound (key in the ignition or not ). Looking into the problem, I found out that I don't need a key to start the truck - the iginition switch turns freely. Do I need to buy a new iginition switch - any ideas how much $? Also, it this hard to change - do I need to remove the steering colum? Thanks for any help!

Mine did the same.
The buzzer is located near the drivers knee, I reached under and pulled it out. no more buzzing (at least for leaving the key in - or not)

Ignition switch broken

If you need a new ignition lock cylinder, the one from Ferd comes with the "kit" to make it match your key. It was about $25 last time I got one. You need a drill bit or small fillipe screwdriver to get the old one out of the column. Your manual will cover this but replacement is seconds once it's keyed.
