Hey guys here's the problem

2000 F-250 V10 automatic

It turns over but wont start. Every so often it will fire up and run just fine no stalling. once started it will restart fine for a few times. It doesn't throw a check engine light and it wont get a connect to a code reader. I had a throttle position sensor self test fail the first time it did this and replaced the sensor with no results. Starting fluid has not worked yet. Seems to have no spark. I'm thinking my pcm might be on the way out.

 

I still need to check the fuel pressure.

 

If it didn't fire on starting fluid, it's not a fuel pressure issue.

Check the function of the PCM Power Relay (swap it with an identical non-critical relay for testing).

 

I will try that tonight after work.

 

my 2000 f250 V10 did the same thing after setting out in single digit weather all day, cranked over fine but wouldn't fire. I keyed the switch four or five times and it fired right up? My first thought was the fuel pump didn't come on but I couldn't hear it over the bells.
