So my dreaded misfire came back from a few weeks ago. I had replaced that one coil that was found to be slightly damaged before Christmas and the miss went away then after I was gone for 2 weeks and came back it started again so after hunting I said screw it and replaced all the plugs and coils and it went away again for a week now it's back and I can't figure it out. The only thing I can think of is a bad electrical connection somewhere hence the back and forth with the issue after work is done. Anyone have any ideas. I also had another mishap after I fixed it the first time. AT fluid backed up the dipstick tube and came out and soaked 2 coils and plugs which I obviously replaced. So I'm thinking that it may have caused other damage other than just plug and coil but then again it was missing even before that unexplained freak accident which also hasn't been explained. I just can't win. Either way can't sell it or keep it and mod it before this issue is fixed once and for all.
Oem coils were used. I tried running a few things of fuel system cleaner and no luck. Doesn't appear to have any vacuum leaks. I'm going to check the connections to the coils themselves to see if one could be loose but when I did the coils I made sure they were all tight. Maybe one is corroded or something?

Trans vent could be plugged causing it to puke out of the dip stick
No codes present, stored, pending. For once I was hoping for a code. All my other vehicles had no problem turning the light on or storing codes. This one can have 5 of 10 coils unplugged barely running and nothing haha.
Clean your Mass Air Flow sensor and with a scanner watch your O2 sensor readings. I've got a funny miss like yours, but mine will throw a code for one of the O2 sensors. I've also found that the MAF is reading incorrectly. At idle and above 2000rpm mine is fine. At the crusing around town just tip into the throttle area prior to downshift... it randomly misses, not enough to set a code, heck not even enough to show up on my Snap On Verus.... Worse when below 0* Seems to run best above 70. (had this issues going on for a while now)
I'll keep you guys posted with how things run after I replace both 02's and the MAF.
