Should I replace the rear exhaust or use the DELETE system
I have a 2013 F250 6.7 w/ 96000. I ran over a log and tore the rear section of the exhaust. I was told to buy the OEM version or do the DPF/EGR Delete.
I don't have a lot of $$$$, so which way do I go.
Whats the least expensive Delete.
Thank you!

So did you ruin the DPF section of your exhaust? I assume you did, I have no idea how much a new DPF filter section costs. I have seen them on CL for $500 once in a while. $800 for a tuner and a few more for a section of exhaust pipe and it can be deleted. No question for me at that point....delete it

Let's look at the big picture:
Replace or Delete?
Stay with in Federal Emission Regulations or risk not getting caught?
Or maybe there is a third choice. Have you contacted your insurance company and filled a claim? Yes, there maybe a deductible, but............
I still think the day will come when diesel vehicles will be subject to emission inspections, even if only visual during safety inspections. At which point the demand for parts to return the vast number of deleted trucks back to stock will be in short supply. And of course price is always driven up when the demand exceeds the on hand inventory.
Still, it's your call. As for me I walk the line when it comes to risk vs. reward vs. emissions.

jonrjen - That is always the risk. Just like with a lot of things that are done to these trucks. Like lifts and pulling more than the door sticker says you can with a F250 because it is basically the same as a F350... In the OP case he won't have the stock stuff sitting in a corner to put back on and maybe the OP should research whether his state or area is about to do that again. Typically it doesn't happen overnight... There will be at least a year or so warning that it is coming.
If DPF and SCRs worked like cats do on gassers I would be walking a higher moral ground with this, but they have issues and they fail way too often and too early. I still have mine and will most likely never delete it. I have a warranty and I typically trade my trucks in before the extended warranty is up. I try to keep the value of my truck as high as I can so that at trade in I get the most out of it and all dealers will take it in on trade.
In the OP's shoes it would be a tough call for me either way - although I would be leaning towards the delete route.

Sorry, but I walk the line, it comes down to $$$$$$$. The OEM DPF is extremely costly and there are no benefits in buying in a used one that will clog sometime soon.
Can I just replace the DPF section and use the existing OEM tip then get it tuned
OR
Does the tip still communicate with the computer and best to replace from the DPF back.
Thanks all for your in put!!!
