Yep with the right tires and locker in front and rear might have pulled right through. I don't have a front locker but run boggers on my truck never been stuck knock on wood.
Good thing someone was there to help out. I had my big rig in Florida a few years back and had to make a tight backing job. I knew not to get in the sand, but figured as long as my back tires were on the pavement I would be ok. My front tires hit the sand and sunk so deep it lifted my back tires off the ground lol. I had some chains, so I had a guy with a brand new 6.7 pull me out. He was just as excited to try his new truck out as I was to not have to call a wrecker.
My 06 came with BF Goodrich tires from the factory and the truck would get stuck in wet grass.
Best thing I ever did to the truck was get rid of them.
The Rugged Terrain or Rugged Trails (there are two versions of it) aren't all that and is why I opted for the BFG All-Terrains. They have yet to let me down...
I've been in some slick and muddy situations, but between having 4wd and BFG All-terrains, they clawed their way through whatever I drove through and I never got stuck; as heavy as an Excursion is.
I got stuck in some mud the other day in 4WL and am done with my tires. I thought my tires were pretty nice, but the only reason I was able to get out was the solid ground was about 6 inches down and I was able to just stay on the throttle and carve my way out. Oh, I guess I should mention I was stuck at the bottom of a small hill and had about 5 feet of room to build up speed but it was so muddy speed wasn't happening
Also a shoutout to Matt for helping me get out of 4WL after I was done! I called Razzi and he didn't answer like a punk but Matt was there like a true bro
