Nice work Jason! Man I wish I was closer to play in your shop! Keep up the good work and will be looking forward to the progress. Engine **** at it's finest!
First I've seen of a post for DRW brakes. Who's calipers and brake lines did you use. Need to go threw mine soon. Everything with one front hub, early to late. Did the other hub last year.

Pretty sure DRW and SRW use the same calipers/pads. The difference is DRW rotors are held on by spindle nut and SRW rotors are held by lug nuts.
This truck is an F450 and has bigger brakes than F250/350.
I use lifetime warranty calipers, rotors and hoses from the local autoparts. I let autozone and oriellys beat each other up for the best price (I have commercial accounts). All of these parts are autozone, because that is convenient for this customer.
The seals are timken (OE brand) repackaged in duralast boxes.
Thanks for the infor. I don't feel so bad now if I use there calipers and lines. I know my neighbor used bosch rotors from O'Rieleys on his single rear wheel truck. Life time rotors. I think I'm going to try the yellow stuff pads this time. My rotors are OEM with 190 K on them. I just think it's time for them. Same with my calipers. Timken will be the hub assembly. So oem seals are sold at auto zone, interesting. I got to order all the seals for the ball joint work to. Hope I can get it done in a couple days. Us old guys are a little slow.
Jason, I was really talking about the front rotors on the DRW trucks. They are mounted different and more work.
The DRW just has adapters/spacers bolted on the front. The rotors, calipers and pads are the same as SRW.
The Bosch rotors are great. The warranty covers warping and heat stress/cracks. I haven't warped one yet with EBC pads, but they swap them out with no questions asked when I change pads. These rotors also have some kind of coating that greatly reduces rust/corrosion. This HAS to help with heat dissipation!
I'll be working on this again today. The heads have been P&P'd and should be all the way together by now. The pistons have been cut and sent out for coating. I need to get my act together and have all the parts I want to powder coat sandblasted so I can get them finished!! Also need to weld the piston oilers... I'm gonna go ahead and weld all the sets I have here (3-4) when I set up for that.
I have another guy who wants the same build. We bought his '00 F550 7.3, 6spd, 4wd regular cab yesterday!! I'll go pick it up Monday. Sending it's ZF6 out for rebuild, replicating this engine build and going through the rest of the truck just like this one - using the best parts we can find! I'll post a pic from my phone later.
Oh, and I'll probably get a firm commitment to build a Mercedes 5cyl turbo diesel Grand Cherokee later today. I'm gonna need to clone myself.
