If you can go without the truck for a bit you can contact Specmo Enterprises (they fixed a cluster on my 2003 Cadillac) or try Speedometer Repair | Speedometer Not Working | MyAirbags
The second outfit had my Crown Vic cluster. When they determined that they couldn't fix it due to some type of bad internal issue, they refunded all the money minus shipping charges.
We rebuild a lot of those "non-repairable" clusters. Give us a shot next time.

Had I known about you, I most assuredly would have. But that car is long gone now. Hopefully I don't have any issues with the 4 vehicles that I currently own.
I am however, bookmarking you now just in case!
Check power and ground at the connectors.
Connector 1, Pin 12 R/Y wire should have power with key on
Connector 2, Pin 5 PK/O is ground
Pin 11 R/Y power with key on
Connector 3, Pin 12 BLK is ground
Can anyone tell me if the fuse numbers and pin outs referenced in this thread would be the same on a 2001 F250SD? I am just starting into troubleshooting an inoperative cluster on this truck.
Follow up; F19 blown. Replaced fuse and cluster and O/D on/off are working now (O/D on/off was inop also). If it blows F19 again, I'd suspect it is likely the chafed wire in the shift tube. Can someone provide some guidance as to where exactly I need to look to find this wire and re-insulate it?
Also, as a side note, I had originally checked F16, which is notated in my manual as instrument cluster and Hi-beams and have no power on either side of the fuse. Any ideas there?
