Weld on a new roof or replace the cab?

I have a nice clean hot rod '67 F100 except for the roof. The truck originally came from SoCal so it has the typical drip rail rot from living in that part of the country. The rest of the truck is straight and rust free, looks like it had a frame off resto about 25 years ago. I don't have a way to upload pics because I am at work and I think the firewall restricts that. Should I cut the top off of another cab off or should I replace the entire cab?

Looking up from underneath the left front corner. I think i would also need to replace the top of the windshield frame.

Looking down from above, it looks like this on the left and right sides

IMHO, with regards to the drip rail, I would sand it all down to see what was really there and then decide.

Yes I should do that but I've been afraid to mess it up. The guy I'm going to use to do the bodywork is pretty sure he can fix all the rust damage without replacing the roof. He wants me to take a wire wheel to it and then a pick to see if it goes all the way through. Just have to get up the courage...

I have replaced a roof before. It isn't that hard. Just a lot of nervous cuts a lot of measuring and of course welding. Just make sure if you do it take a lot of before measurements Mark where you took them write them down. Take pics and and make sure you have a good second set of hands and have fun
