wheels

I have a daily driver for work. 2002 f350 supercab 7.3 DRW.
My inner rear wheels are steel. The front and outer rear wheels are alum.

I always have problems with balancing and rim damage.
I have been thinking about using steel wheels and getting rid of the aluminum.

What are the pros and cons of steel vs alum wheels? Especially on the hwy.

Steel are heavier, but tougher and stronger ( in general terms anyway ).

Down side, they rust if not taken care of.

Do the steel wheels "feel" more bumps in the road than aluminum?

Will the ride comfort or mileage change?

No, ride and MPG will be the same. One could argue about the additional unsprung weight and the impact on ride and handling, but it's already a heavy vehicle. 30 more pounds on the rear axle won't be noticed.
