Kinda - I work just south of the main touchdown that destroyed the trailer park at Blue Heron Blvd. I was alread on my way home when the tornado started playing with the cars & trucks on I-95. I was glad to see it stayed east of 95. My folks live about 1/4 mile west of 95 on Blue Heron Blvd in one of those "over 55" retirement communities. They only got hit by the rain and a 4 hour power outage.
I saw the footage on TV last night! What it did to those trucks at that warehouse was wild. Glad to hear you missed the mess! I have been mowing in the rain for the last two days , Dodging rain drops sort-a-speak and getting my shower for the week.
I'd like to come up and see the town.My cousin stepdad owned around a 1/3 of the town around 20 years ago,and sold it off to live in a 5wheel. Must be nice???
He must have sold it to the Howlands. They own most of the town now. Let me know when you'll be in the area.
I live almost across the street from Howlands Lumber and pretty close to "Howlands Roundabout". It used to be known as 5 points where hwy 51 and four other roads joined. A year or so ago they spent 1.5 million to make it into a roundabout. All it did is tie up traffic use up the money they should have spent to pave the street in front of my house.
They call it Howlands Roundabout, but actually someone else owned the land and donated it to the city.
