Jubilation's January Jackwagon BS Thread

Another Monday in late January. Depressing as Hell. Will be glad when I see March in the rear view.
Thomas says we need to have a get together on the coast since there are more of y'all down there than us up here.
Anybody wanna' meet in a parking lot somewhere & stand around doing your best "King of the Hill" impression?
Yep. Unh-huh.

Well, it's been a cold process, but the '68 F100 is back together. It's not running yet, but getting it all back together was my first big hurtle to jump.
I stuck a battery in it just to see what I have. I've got both head lights, one tail light, no life at all in the instrument panel, light at the heater controls, and a quick thud when I turn on the heater fan that I bet is a dirt dubber nest.
I've got to have my carport space for another project this week, so I pushed the Ford out into the yard. I can probe around with the test light and clean connections out in the yard.
Man, it was cold working on that thing!

Hey David, I would be more than happy to stand around in a parking lot lol.
Side note: I just came back from a family trip to Tennessee. The wife wanted to go see snow so we rented a place in the mountains. We got some snow alright, and I learned how desperately I need her truck to be 4x4 lol. Ill attach a picture in a minute that shows the snow we got. It was a great trip over all. The best part is, her truck rolled over 300K miles on the way. I was nervous but the truck never skipped a beat!

HEY! I did some probing around with the test light last night, and ended up getting the '68 to roll over with the key!
Solenoid was loose on the fender. Tightened it up and now the key rolls it over, and I have a hot wire at the distributor.
Scared the **** outta me when it rolled over. I just wanted to see if the test light would come on...swear I can't remember if it did or not???...anyway, it works!
Got a few things I want to double check before I actually try to crank it, but another big hurtle jumped.
stay tuned...
