Looks like January is my month for a camera system, 6 zones, maybe 2 more for indoor looking out. Have 2 emails to mayors office, decent response back and had a coincidental introduction at a community meeting, nothing said but gave him my card, think the email address was familiar to him. An email to the Solicitor general, no response yet but those emails take time. 2 to the police chief, 2nd one tersely but politely explained his first response was bogus and explained the way policing was during the 70's and early 80s. 3 days later the first of several negative police stories showed up in the papers. Sigurd's nephew used to be the staff Sargeant for this area and they had a chat. Been getting quieter for the last 6 weeks, not seeing some of the problem faces lately.

I'm in Forest Lawn Silver, Royal Oak is a nice area, did a lot of work for Acera homes when it was still developing the place. I moved into a house that had been a junkie house for a number of years due to bad property management, the place next door was the same way, the rest of the street was mostly Asian retirees. It was a convenient street for CPS, no one could complain due to language barrier and the junkies had a place to do their act. I moved in and was working to long of a day to see all that was happening until the winter before my stroke, when I had my stroke I became a easy target, a few people found out I'm not that easy. LOL Every city has a neighborhood like mine, all you can do is clean up your own street and hope others notice. Theres a number of us now that are doing our own small parts and changes are starting to happen. Having 5 bars in the immediate area doesn't help but having a strong business redevelopement zone helps and so does the physical upgrades to our main drag, 17th ave se. In 2 years this neighborhood will look a lot different than 2 years ago.
