If I didn't own a tractor with a loader, I'd find an old highboy preferably and automatic for ease of operation ( and I'm not an automatic fan) and put a plow and some tall skinny snow tires on it.....would be my first choice.
I put together a 79 F250 this summer and added a Meyer setup. I can't wait to play a little but guess what....no snow. It's been 50-60 degrees here and doesn't look like it's gonna change.
Yea it works well. When trucks can't push anymore it becomes very profitable. We don't get to use it every year but when it comes out there's a good reason.
This snow we just kinda made it rough to even plow. I need some skinny tires too but most cases it's just too deep. I think I saw the official total was 30".
Im a little east of you in Coatesville, we got 30 inches also, think i have everything i need to hook my 78 f250 up with a plow just not sure how it all goes together, any information ,pictures, links ,would be greatly appreciated. After shoveling all day, my thoughts were all about getting that plow hooked up . Its a Myers. Thanks
Oh yea. It was hard at work for about 2 days doing what plows couldn't get in to. It broke some small things which were a huge inconvenience. Luckily we were able to McGuyver some things to keep it going.
