So anyone in the TV area know when the wind gust came up last night? Something hit my place after 11pm and my wind chimes are out in the yard, bird feeders blown about 20 feet from where they were hung, and chairs around our firepit are all over. My first thought was, wow - am I in East Idaho again? We don't get much wind here, especially gusts over 15mph. I'd bet those were over 30-40mph to do this.

Good morning everyone.
I was up past 2:00 AM and it was windy here. Weather here isn't always the same as weather on the "other" end of the valley.
When I was a STAR (state motorcycle safety training) instructor, I had to cancel a class due to snow. I emailed my director about the class cancellation that day so he could get a start on rescheduling those students. My director called some of my students to verify that it snowed. Every student he contacted (maximum of 12 per class) confirmed it snowed in Nampa. Evidently, Boise was sunny and did not receive snow that day.
I was a bit upset with my director at the time. When I turned in the class paperwork that Monday evening, I showed him pictures of the training range covered in snow, with snow still falling, and the students building a snowman in the middle of the range.
I love seeing photos of everyone's shops. I really want a place with a shop and RV parking. Even if there wasn't crap all over my garage floor, my truck won't fit in there. It would be nice to park Susi's car in the garage, but I'm working on that as often as I can. My back prevents me from getting much done at one time. Having a heated garage/shop would be great. I don't handle the cold as well as I used to, so if it's windy and cold, no maintenance gets done, unless I have it done at a repair shop.
I hate paying someone to do things for me, but sometimes, that's my only option, unless I wait until summer.
Susi's birthday is tomorrow. We're having friends over on Saturday. I'll be grilling bratwursts and sauerkraut. What's on your agenda for this weekend?
Edit:
On a side note, Laurie, your shop is bigger than my house.

Im just cleaning my shop up...my cousin wants to flip his travel trailer axles over for more clearance tomorrow, so I need to make room for the 30' behemoth. And cleaning workbenches after filling them with tools and old parts while working on my pickup. not fun work...but better than working.

Good morning Pat and everyone else!
Warm and windy here too. Maybe the mud will dry up a bit? Country living has it's little annoyances. Mud is one of them.
Today is National Chocolate Mint Day. I have this link saved that lists all the national food holidays.
I'm a wanna-be chef/baker, so trying to figure out what to make to "celebrate" this important National Holiday. LOL! Any ideas?
Oh it has to be non alcoholic too. Darn it!
