I have bags for just that reason Scott. My setup made it bounce just right off the overloads it sucked. Now it's smooth as can be.

Here is a youtube video I made reviewing a few items I purchased.

1. B&W Hitch
2. Tire Step (Really cool)
3. Access Toolbox Bed Cover (replacing my Extang Solid Fold Toolbox Bed Cover)

Enjoy:

Justin, funny thing, I've had that same exact step for over 11 years and totally forgot about it. I've been using one of those 300lb capacity plastic, fold up stools from Walmart. It stays perfectly in the bed as I put one of the legs in the hand hole on the B&W. But now that side step makes much more sense to me. I used it to get to the luggage top carrier on my Excursion when traveling.
I also have a question. Does your truck tool box fit against the front of the bed? Most I've ever seen tall you to have 1-1 1/2" away from the front wall of the bed so that the box lid won't pop the back glass. Always thought it would be useless to put a waterproof cover on the bed with a gaping hole at the front of the bed. I love your idea of the roll up topper.

The bed cover comes with a really large piece of weatherstripping that you adhere to the back of the bed and press the toolbox against. But yes, I do have the toolbox about .5" ahead of the lip of the bed. No leaking at all though.

I did use a small tube of black silicone to seal up any small openings though.

I'm still wondering if any of them will work with a low profile tool box...

Probably not because you wouldn't be able access the latch

So I just noticed that the hosts of an RV Fulltimers YouTube channel I follow just upgrade their truck from a late 2000 model Duramax to a 2014 F450 Lariat. I'm trying to convince them that this is the best place to go for SD advice and just plain good folks. Nice truck too!
