[/B]I have been wondering if tweecer is available for the stock computer yet. Seems when I searched the answer seemed unclear. I plan on building my truck up focused mainly on Torque then anything and this would help a lot and I may not need a aftermarket ecu. My goal is as close to 200hp/ 400tq as I can get. So any efi tricks would be good to know
Also since I plan to build the 1990 4.9 would a obd2 swap be worth it? I think sct has a way to tune a 1996 300 6. I would have better cam choices with maf but is there any other big advantages?
I would go the OBD II swap, just to get the MAF sensor.
If it can be modified or tuned, all the better! when I looked into using a ford pcm on my efi swap, I couldn't figure out how to flash the darn thing! they all wanted me to send it in to do wizard stuff... so I built my own DIY EFI and had much better success with it (Vems.hu - Versatile Engine Management Systems)

thanks for the reply, im only planning at this point because its my daily driver. I've considered a lot of options and when its time for a upgrade I think I'm might look into a aftermarket solution. Vems sounds nice, I'm looking into a megasquirt diy pnp(plug and play) right now because it claims to use the factory EEC iv connector requiring no harness modification people seem to have good luck with megasquirt
Yeah, VEMS forked from megasquirt and now is doing their own thing. At the time, it was the only solution for Wideband O2 DIY EFI. Nowadays, they probably all do Wideband O2's.
Do you have a wire schematic for your year truck? Check to see if each injector has it's own wire to the PCM, it really bothered me when I found the batch fired injectors.
