I've seen some threads with nice pics if that is what you like. Like any coating key would be prep. Clean, repair and prime first then the coating. You could weld in a short length of the correct diameter tube and use some bilge plugs for a boat in the hole.
I can tell you from experience of cleaning my bedliner out in my truck that simply running water over doesn't get the dirt out. I have to spray it with my thumb over the nozzle to do anything and then it's still dirt filled in nooks and crannies. If you did that in the cab you'd get water all over the place.
It will also get hot and be louder in the cab. I decided to go with carpet after a lot of research and thinking.
If you do use spray in bedliner in the cab make sure you 100% want it, because you will not be as easy get it out later. X2 it is all in the surface prep.
A vinyl floor over some dyne mat or topped off with carpet will take care of a lot of the road noise. And make it warmer in the winter.
If it is off roader/mudder only, do it and never look back. Do the cab behind the seat 1/2 way up, both sides of the cabs kick panels and even the bottom of the doors below the door panel bottom line, rockers and 1/2 up the B pillar.
I agree with 77&79F250, I did spray on insulation then bedliner underneath the cab and spray in bedliner on the inside then dynamat style adhesive insulation and topping it off with insulated carpet. In case you haven't picked up on it I was trying to get a quiet ride... Didn't work as much as I was hoping. In retrospect I'm glad I used the bedliner inside and out- the floor had zero rust and I'd like to keep it that way. If you plan on lots of water crossing or mudding and you're not looking for a quiet comfortable DD then I definitely would not recommend carpet.
I did the roll-on liner, on the interior floor boards some 15 years ago in my '78 4x4 wrecker. No carpet/no regrets to this day. Still looks just as good after all these years yet, even with chains, J-hooks, block & tackles and clevises thrown on them. It's a 100% no frills work truck though, not a cruiser.
