im not quite sure what your saying, but if the f-350 has a srw sterling then it will bolt right up in your 79, be much stronger and have more clearance than the rear 60. only thing you will have to change if its not lifted is youll prolly have to shorten the driveshaft

no u mis understood i have a 79 that has a 60 rear i have a 86 that has a sterling rear with a dana 60 front was wanting to make the 86 60 front and rear . so what your saying is changing the sterling 10.25 for a dna 60 wouldnt be a smart idea
