First of my truck is an 02' Excursion, Banks turbo back, 6637 filter, ATS housing with a Riff Raff Billet wheel for the ported housing, HPx, FRx, DP Tuner.
Now on to my question, with the wastegate adjusted the way it is now on the stock setting I will see 21psi then you can see when the wastegate opens and boost drops back to 20, which I'm fine with, my issue is on my higher settings like 80 and 100 I will see about 28psi but when the wastegate opens boost drops to 20, how do I keep it up around the 28 mark? If I unplug the red line it will hit 30 or more on the higher settings. Thoughts?
Does the turbo master keep the boost consistent?
My concern would be damaging the turbo by going over 30 psi. But then again I barely ever run it that hard anyway. I'll give it a try towing and as long as the boost level stays in check while towing I'll go with it.
Some have also tightened to spring on the stock waste gate also, it seems to be a little hit and miss as to what pressures it will vent at, it's kind of hard to dial in from what I gather?
