Oh well if you're getting a 4x2 maybe we need to rethink all our advice. I only know about the 4x4's. I'm not familliar with the suspension on the 2by's. All this talk about Dana 50's and Dana60's is about the front drive axle on the 4x4's. Sorry for the confusion.
after reading many post. i have defintely decided to get the f350 and not the 250.
i was at the dealer last night looking at the truck. the IFS on the 2wd's were pretty impressive looking. my s-10 has no travel. the arms on the ford were really long. looked like a long travel prerunner front end.
i still havent found much about gas mileage as far as 2wd vs 4wd. but i have seen where gas mileage varys from truck to truck and people cant quite explain it.
my wife likes how the 4x4's sit. so i am going to try to shoot for one, but it wont be a deal breaker.
