if you have a more eco-friendly daily driver, what is it?

I haven't driven it enough to know yet, but I expect my truck to get 8-12 depending on driving conditions. 460/ ZF5/ 4.10s.
Had this a little over a year now. Not to sure about eco friendly, but it is wallet friendly. 2014 VW Jetta TDI premium (with Nav). Every option but the DSG automatic. 40+ mpg around town, 50 on the highway. Whels are BBS SRs.

^^^ Love the Diesel Jetta g
I drive a 2001 Ford Focus ZTS daily to work
Nothing special...Although I love this car because it gets 30 mpg, very dependable, paid cash for it a few years ago &
I can park up close at the store, because if it get's scratched, I won't be wanting to kill somebody

that's exactly how i feel with my scion. i never park close in my f350 or excursion, one because the spots are usually too tight and require too much work to pull into, and 2, because said spots are so tight, people will ding and scratch my trucks, as well as hit the mirrors. love the scion i can park right up front easily in tight spots, and don't care if its gets scratched!

Thanks, it's first 7 winters were in Fl. Here in Va. winters are mild so not a lot of salt exposure. Mechanically sound as clutch, AC were replaced with new OEM parts with the smog stuff as well. Typical leaky gaskets have been replaced when needed so no oil drips in drivewa.y As for the overall condition yeah she is pretty straight considering I used this for my roofing repair business for several years and then a home repair business. I fear selling because you know I could never replace it if needed for the same amount I could get from selling. I understand it is desired now days because of its lack of bells and whistles. It's really a work truck no need to worry dirt or such issues simple to hose out and simple to repair, just can't tow much without some mods to gearing. Already sold I just bought it again even better this time as there are no payments. I just hope the Platinum is as reliable for the long haul.

I like that this thread was revived. I have two alternates:
My daily driver for getting to work quickly and with good MPGs:
2004 Honda VFR800 Interceptor get +/- 40 MPGs and endless smiles when I am on this one.
And my second is for when the wife and I both want to take a ride but not in the truck. My 1991 Harley Davidson Electra Glide Sport (FLHS). Bought it with only 6k original miles on it from the original owner! It actually gets better mileage than the Honda (the Honda does have a couple of "slight" modifications possibly making it better on power and worse on gas!)
