HELP!!!!
I have an 05 Excursion Eddie Bower.
Ordering new tires tomorrow and trying to figure how large of a tire I can fit on my factory rim without any issues!
My Excursion is completely stock!
Going with the BFGoodrich All terrain K02's.
I was going to go with 315/75R16's. Is that too big? Will I have rubbing issues? Will that fit the stock rim without any issues?
Or how about 285/75R16's if the 315's are too big?

285/75 R16's work great with no rubbing. That was the tire size I ran before I upgraded to the HD wheels.
I don't know if the 315 rub or not.

Also, check out the search feature and the tech folder, great info in there
This thread might help you out a little too.

Drunken Unicorn thanks for the reply! I'm ordering tires in the morning and don't want to screw myself by getting the wrong size!
I guess I'll be going with the 285's.

Sure thing! I think some guys and gals have been able to use sizes bigger than the 285/65R16 on the stock suspension, but I think they start rubbing at full lock after 33" (?) tires.
Make sure to update us with some pictures of the Ex's new shoes!

Doom, I have 285's on mine with no issues at all. I also pick up one mile per gallon and my speedometer is more accurate. Best of luck to you

I ordered 285 tires from Treadwright. They look like a BFG AT knockoff and they were only 140 a piece for 10 ply E rated tires.
