I have a 2000 expy that had a p1744 transmission code and ended up getting trans replaced,it has a one year warranty. Anyway check engine on so took it to O'Reilly to get codes checked. the scanner said there was an obd code for p0325 and said non mil then 2 codes under ecm both were p1744 one said non mil and the other said confirmed. it was a Bosch scanner. I'm a little confused, should I take it back to trans shop?
The code 325 is a Knock Senor circuit failure as part of the engine system.
The 1744 is a transmission code not related to the engine system.
The 325 can set a MIL or CEL light, the trans code cannot.
If you have OD control on the shifter, that lamp should have lighted if the 1744 is a hard fault. otherwise it may be intermittent.
The 1744 is Torque converter clutch performance errors.
Your two codes are unrelated to each other.
Good luck.
I know the knock sensor code has nothing to do with trans code, just mentioned it because it came up on scanner. The torque converter was replaced when trans was. I just want to know if I need to take it back in to get looked at. Randomly when I drive it the engine revs up intermittently or the tach will drop and come back up.
